While doing this with your DAW tools may take a bit of trial and error, you can also do it the easy way with a plugin called HalfTime. One example is to slow down some tracks during the breakdown of your song, or even during a buildup. Others, well, are pretty much optional, but you may start using them later on when you feel that your songs need a bit more fireworks. These are essential tools for any producer, and if you’re new to the business, you learn about them from the get-go. In fact, you can’t even make a track sound “right” without some basic effects such as EQing, compression, or reverb. Audio effects are always a great way to improve your music production.
